Trek or cycle the terrific trails on the island and admire the charming villages or scuba dive in the old mines or wrecks.
Sifnos, the island of Apollo is a beautiful mountainous island brimming with olive groves, almond trees, oleanders and juniper. Old walking paths link the picturesque, white-washed villages making this an ideal island for exploring. A striking feature of this island is the many churches: there is a church for each day of the year and most of them are only open on that day. Chrysopigi near Faros in the south-eastern end of the island is the most famous.
